turbo charging the g37

I've contacted multiple shops. I am wanting to purchase a turbo kit. I've contacted multiple shops and no one wants to sell me a turbo kit because I live in california. I dont want to throw out any shops names because I do not want to downtalk any specific shops. Hopefully someone on this forum could tell me how i may come about purchasing a turbo kit living in california. Do I drive out of state for purchase? (because i am willing to). Or are there shops out there that dont care about selling to californias (it is after all us putting ourselves on the line when we drive it) not the shops. Any help would be great. Cash in hand. I came to this section becasue it is california specific.

Have you considered supercharging?
You might have better luck with the CARB stuff

I have. I would prefer turbo but if all else fails it looks like that would be my only option.

Might want to wait until the EPA rage blows over before going FI route.

they are not legal to purchase in California due to not being carb legal..You need to find someone that’s lives out of state to purchase it for you

EAC Twin Turbo kit for the VQ37 platform just became 50 state legal. The carb EO # is D-873 and so now there is a twin turbo kit available that will pass smog in California or any of the other states.

hey… old thread . I purchased my Soho stage 2.5 turbo kit already. I’ve been talking my time putting it on. I’m almost done. The build ballooned passed 20k. I’m trying to do it right. It’s going to be a beast… 20k and that’s not building the engine
