G Speed Shop in San Diego?

Hola! Just moved to San Diego and need a competent shop to work transmission and engine on my G (to include aftermarket upgrades). Can anybody steer me to the best shop? Thx, y'all.

Did you find one? I just made a similar post, but then I found yours from 2018. No replies, not very encouraging I must say.

Socal suspension in El Cajon is fantastic for chassis related upgrades and repairs (they installed my Swift springs and rear M brace). I always ask for Sol because he's knowledgeable of our FM/VQ platform because he's a hard core car guy (restores old BMWs). For repairs I use BNC in Poway since I really like/trust the owner Steve (ask to have Jason work on your car). They installed my drilled/slotted rotors and brakes and did excellent work. I haven't found any speed shops here that specialize in the Z/G platform, but I suspect if you follow some of the links for UpRev or Ecutek partners in the area, they may know of someone. Infiniti in Oceanside wants to play in the aftermarket space a tad (i.e. they don't seem to be scared away by mods), but I have never used them for this type of work. They do have the best Techs and Service writers here in SD.

Personally, if I were to require specialized support for the Z/G platform, I'd work with the team at Concept Z (AZ) as they aren't that far away and have a lot of expertise modding our cars and they seem to know a lot about all of the Z1 branded mods.

Hope this helps.

Mike
