It's a relatively simple DIY that requires nothing special. Check the DIY section

I went to Infiniti Mission Viejo, aka SoCal. They have advertised it in the past for 229 and change. I paid 203.99 because my car is part of the high mileage club. They filled it with BG 312. They later changed it back to Nissan Matic S for free. If you go there and don't want BG, be specific and ask for Nissan Matic S. They gave me a Q60 3.0 Coupe to drive, which didn't suck.

I never really pushed it, but with the stiffer chassis and all, it feels slower. I don't think it is as quick as a G37, but it shouldn't be. I liked the stiffer chassis. I drove a new S4 back around 2006, it didn't feel that quick. Mostly due to how composed it is. The nice thing is that you can get probably 60-100 hp with a chip and cold air intake. It seemed pretty okay on fuel, probably 1-2 mph better.

I had a q50 3.0T as a loaner. The extra torque from the turbo is really nice, but in the end it is't any faster and the naturally aspirated VQ has better throttle response and the hydraulic steering in the G is just plain better. All the q50's feel a bit disconnected.

They actually pump fake engine noise in through the sound system in the 3.0T

I think my next one would be a Audi RS3, AWD 400hp 5cyl Turbo, weighs 3600 lbs. I will wait for the depreciation to settle in, buy a protection plan and pray it doesn't break down.
Or perhaps
Tesla Model 3, if they ever get the dual motors. Supposedly a lot of people are cancelling their orders now they see the car. It looks good, but what do they expect for 50k.
Currently you could get a Model 85S for 45k. If you don't mind that she is a big girl.

RS5 is on my radar as well. Not the RS3 but very similar. Love the note that car produces. It's one of 4 that keep taking the number one spot as next car.
I just can't get behind the Tesla. They're extremely overpriced and can't support my commute. Without the Govt subsidies they'd be getting blown out of the water in sales. I think they've only published one profitable quarter correct me if I'm wrong? As soon as the other brands get in gear and pump out competitors I think you'll see Tesla fade. Everything I've read says they're very unreliable as well. If you had a short commute I could see them being a viable choice but for now, I think they're just trendy.

disconnect aside, i think the new 3.0 is a massive step forward. i would much rather have a 3.0tt than a 3.7na any day of the week. With a tune, your 3.0tt will probably make 330whp; basically a r400 or whatever they call them.
And if torque curve is anything similar to the 335, it will be a joy to drive.
interior looks like public transportation. and the car cost 50k.
