Palomar Mountain / Julian Cruise - October 09, 2010
When:
October 09, 2010 - 7:30AM to 01:00PM
Where:
Meet-up location will be the Jamba Juice parking lot in Mira Mesa.
Meet-up time is 7:30AM at the address to follow. We will be leaving no later than 7:40AM.

Route:
We will be taking the I-15N to CA-76E, then will regroup at the Mobil gas station.
We will then drive to the top of Palomar and regroup again.
Then we will drive to Lake Henshaw and regroup for a photoshoot.
After that, we will be cruising over to Julian for lunch.
We'll be stopping around the corner at the Julian Library for one last photoshoot in the parking lot to wrap up the day.

Everyone is welcome, this isn't a Nissan/Infiniti, or G-only meet, so feel free to invite a friend. Everyone will meet up at the address I have provided. The Jamba Juice is across from the Edwards Cinemas in Mira Mesa, right off the I-15. Yes, we know it's early, we do this because of traffic, and because the mountain can get very hot, and we don't want to lose anyone to engine or brake overheating... my outside temp gauge read 115 when I drove through Poway at the end of last meet.
What to Bring/Do:
Bring a full tank of gas before meeting up at Jamba Juice. There is a gas station in Julian, but count on it not being cheap.
Check your fluids, tires, nuts and bolts. It gets up to and well over 100 degrees, and the mountain is somewhat remote. You do not want to overheat. There are some very sharp turns, you want to make sure you're running on a good set of tires.
The roads aren't the friendliest at Palomar. If your car is slammed, you're more than welcome, but be aware there are a lot of bumps and dips, and you do run the chance of scraping. I do have to say I'm pretty low and haven't had a problem yet though, just my $.02.
Bring lunch and emergency money! I'm sure there's an ATM up in Julian, but you don't want to be that person!
