Unhappy TORN! to move or not to move??

Posted my thought's on G35Driver, figured post here also to get more feedback? Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. So if moved, mybad!

Ok, I am really Torn right now! We visited family in San Diego, San marcos area, drove to visit more frnds in Bakersfield! about a 3 1/2hr drive from San marcos area! now my Pops want to sell house here in Oahu, Hawaii!! , And move to Bakersfield!! I admit, I love the houses there, nice big 5-6 bedrooms, 3 car garage, yard, etc...., But the dust there would drive me insane! I love keeping my rides dust free! Kinda **** about that crap! LOL. but the whole time i was there, i never saw one clean car at all. everything was coverd in like this white powder dust!! CRAZY! Does anyone on here live in this area?

I also love that if I moved to Cali, that I can drive anywhere to visit frnds, family, or just take a road trip! the best part! but living in Hawaii most of my life, it has become boring! Gov, closes the only 1/4 mi track we had, shuts down most outdoor activities, and on, and on! Has become so Boring!! thats part of the reason why i want to leave here, but it's just so hard to leave a place u spent most of your life, and have so many cool frnds! and would half to start from scratch. Plus finding a Job would be hard? hows the Jobs there in SD? is it real bad, that no place is hiring? since this Economy sucks right now!?

Any other nice decent place to live in San Diego area? I have family in San Marcos, and other parts, and frnds in Poway area. Just wanted some advice if i should consider, making the move here if my parents decide too. and my cars are both modded up pretty good, especially my Stang, that would never pass SMOG!! here in hawaii there is no such thing! LOL, thats another down side to Cali, so damn strict for SMOG!

Bakersfield is definitely not San Diego area. That's a 3.5 hour drive WITHOUT traffic. Sitting through LA traffic could make it more like 5-6 hours.

You should live somewhere closer...try Riverside! Houses are really cheap here too. It's an hour or less away from San Diego, Orange County (beaches), LA, Big Bear (for snowboarding), etc..

Do not move to Bakersfield, especially if you've lived in Hawaii. I think you and your family would be miserable out there even with a huge house. There's a reason big homes are cheap out there. San Diego area is great. Riverside is a happy medium to San Diego, LA, Orange County and the local mountains.

Too bad you guys have to leave Hawaii. I'd love it out there.

I could see how Hawaii could get boring after a while. There's so much more to do around here than the big island. Can't snowboard there, can't find as many good places to eat, can't go to a huge G meet, etc

Thnx Guy's! yea it is a far away place in the middle of no where! LOL. got some frnds there, and yea big houses are chaep beacuse it's hot and it's desert! and it's like dusty 24/7! which would drive me nuts! I'll try tell my parents to check out RIverside. I remember passing Riverside on my way to my cousins house in Las Palmas? Forget the name, it's in San Diego, right after Poway. But yea need a change sometime. but it's hard to leave a place u been most of your life! but I love the driving to anywhere. over here, if u do that u end up in Pacific ocean! LMAO! Lets hear somemore feedback please! Appreciate the suggestions guy's!

I'm sure there are a lot of companies relating to your field in the LA/OC area, you just have to look. Check Monster.com or any other job search website. Good luck.

I think you'll be bored in Bakersfield after a few months and make another thread about moving to Orange County. So I'd say just save the money and time and move here.

If you ask anybody from So Cal, I'm sure they'll tell you Bakersfield = middle of nowhere = boring = don't move there = move here instead.
