I would stay in LA vs OC. But I prob would stay in Florida. Sometimes liking a place you visit does not mean you would like living there.

Yea, but we all know that SD dominates all.

You really need to find out which place you like the most. LA or OC. Then focus on which city or part will work best for you.

with the price you are asking, and the type of living... 2 story luxury condo.... don't even try Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills, Bel-Air, or Brentwood....

But, maybe Irvine or Inland Empire, like you stated you were looking into.

I live in Holmby Hills, and the houses there are like $5mil cheapest... and the more expensive part can range in the 100s of millions of $$ for a house... same with Brentwood, Bel-Air, Beverly Hills.

Btw... holmby hills is like the upper class part of Westwood.

For a 2 story luxury condo by the beach double your LA price....

Still, it's worth it, LA is the bestest. Came here from Seattle and I'll never leave unless it's by spaceship.

For example, in comparison to Miami. Because... I feel The places I visited aren't as luxurious as Miami Beach, with the exception of Beverly Hills and Hollywood, but I'd like some place safe, with the addition of mountain-view. Beach would be nice, but not too much, as I've lived in Miami my whole life.

Also, cost... I can get a Luxury 2 story condo overlooking the Atlantic Ocean for $250,000 here. But I guess the cost of living (and salaries) are much more in Cali ?

Edit - I would be renting. So figure around $1500/month gets you the above, where i'm sure it'd be around $2000 in cali?

Inland Empire - will look into it.

What do you guys think of Irvine and Anaheim? Anaheim gives me an "Orlando, FL" feeling, since Orlando here has Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, etc.

Yeah, and you get a ticket for going 2 mph over the speed limit.

OC is win though. Everything is close by. Beach, track, shopping, everything.

You should look into renting near UCLA, or on the Wilshire corridor, there is plenty for rent in that area. If you rent near to UCLA, you will be able to utilize Sunset, one of my favorite streets, when there isn't traffic that is. There are plenty of apartments in both areas. The apartment complexes near UCLA can be found on either Veteran or Hilgard. Both areas are adjacent to bel-air, westwood, holmby hills, and extremely close to Beverly Hills.

And be ready to pay 2400+ for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. Rent is not gonna be cheap around UCLA. It's gone up since I was there too.
