G37 Needed for magazine feature
Hey guys...sorry have not replied. My email notification was not working for some reason.
Magazine is real and just because we dont pick a car does not mean there is something wrong with it or cause to be upset. The reality of doing what I do is that I have to reject a lot, so please dont take it as an insult. On Solos cars, the editor made a judgment call on the look. Nothing wrong with it per say, just wasnt the image desired. Not every car we pick will be perfect or perfect in everyones eyes. The magazine is new this year and comes from the same major company that makes 90 percent of the tuner magazines. Its on pretty much every newstand and in every grocery store.
As I explained, there is a narrow focus. We want performance, but not to the point of race or race inspired. That means general no things like race seats, roll bars, etc. This is about true performance street sedans and coupes that are also mid to higher end on the luxury scale. The bottom end is cars like the TSX with the top being some mid and higher end BMWs, mercedes, etc.
We generally wont feature cars that:
-Dont have enough mods. Not enough depends on the car as some have less available or are more rare.
-Are blingy, heavier on stereo, not performance minded, overly heavy on performance
-And lastly, when a candidate is proposed that is borderline, we make a judgment call as we have with a couple on this site
Now, as it relates to a G37, here is what I would like to see at a minimum
- Nice wheels. Sporty, clean look, definitely 20" or less, no chrome or color matched (assuming car is not black, grey, silver)
-Suspension. Coilovers are better, but anything performance and a bit lower.
-Engine mods. At least a few here, but more is usually better within reason
-Interior - can have sublte upgrades, but no need for race seats, harnesses, 20 TV monitors, etc
-A clean body kit of lip kit would be ideal. Prefer not to have a completely stock body car, but if we get a really nice one with stock body, we may be able to use it
-The key is Clean with high end appeal
Dont forget to post you mods

Well, if i had that, I would already have the car
. JK...i know what you mean.
Style wise, something like an impul aero kit would be great like below. The wheels could use some work. For wheels, anything sporty. Nothing chrome or overly race. Performance mods should be suspension, intake, exhaust, and a few other things at a bare minimum. Things like brake kits, forced induction, etc are a big plus

As a side note, typically magazines do not take this approach to find cars for two reasons. First, they get so many submissions without soliciting, and second, they typically have a plethora of freelance photographers always looking for features. We are a newer (yet still large) magazine, so we do not have the volume of submissions, and second, our shoots are so elaborate that we cannot have random freelancers all over the country shooting features for us. The gives you guys the rare opportunity to have a direct method of submitting worthy cars right to the source. So whenever there is something ready, I am here to check it out.
to bad you wont fly out to the east coast im sure we could work something out... i got everything you want except a body kit, really nothing out worth getting right now.......

Will give the magazine details to anyone that we select. Cant go out of socal for now as our shoots are too elaborate. They take all day and have about 5-10 people working them usually.
The turbo kit and wheels on your car are a great fit otherwise. Would be perfect with a subtle aero kit to finish it off
