haha... yeah I noticed that as well. The problem is the dealership is North of San Francisco, about a 7 hours drive from here. I guess the discount I will be getting up there will be wiped out by the amount (decpriciation + gas) I will be driving to get the car to So. Cal. I'm waiting for a dealer in So.Cal to wake up!! Looking at their inventory some of the dealerships have in excess of 40 G37s!!!

Anyways, I guess at this point getting a good deal wouldn't be a problem anywhere one shops. But getting invoice would be a good treat for anyone. At least they will have bragging rights on the forums!!! haha

It is quite possible if you have a group of members in SoCal we can arrange a carrier to ship the cars to SoCal for a possible discount on shipping the cars.

66 G37s in stock at dealership here in Florida. I'm sure they are not all sold!

Hence, the chances of them negotiating a price under MSRP is unlikely for launch even with a group buy in Socal since the population and demand is very high.
Little demand on Civics? You must be kidding

Car Addict dont let any of these non-believers stop you from trying. I heard this same drivel about ohhh its a brand new car, its not a civic etc. but less than 3 weeks after the car hit the dealerships nationwide I was driving one at 2100 off MSRP from a group buy that I organized, all with people I met here on the forums. IT CAN BE DONE. You got PM.

I'm in San Diego, and trying to buy a G37....
I talked with a few dealerships, and so far Escondido Infiniti was the most reasonable... But they still weren't coming off MSRP officially, just giving me More $$ for my trade.

So now i'm trying to get more $$ for a down payment, and then I'll be ready to buy, ... so i'm interested in any deals we can make.

We are still doing the group buy so whoever is interested can send me a PM for details.

As far as the price goes, some dealers don't seem to know the meaning of the words "discount" and "invoice". I think what we have here in So.Cal is the "Rich and Spoiled" effect! Most People don't seem to care about a few grands when it comes to buying things like luxury cars. As a results the dealers don't seem to be budging much. Now the problem I see with this car is that it is not as competitive as it was when it first came out in 2003. Right now BMW has the advantage and many people who are deciding between the two cars would go with the 3 series. The reasons you probably know:
1) If they are leasing they would most probably have better payments with the BMW.
2) Brand name
3) Engine power

Now we all have our own reasons for wanting a G coupe so considering all of the above, we have two choices: To settle for a grand maybe more below MSRP or wait a bit longer until some of these dealers wake up and decide to get a lesson on the meaning of the words "discount" and "invoice".

Group buy anyone?!!
