My 2013 g37 sport stolen in miami
#16
what i heard from other people is that they are using some kind of system/scanner to basically make a key on the spot. they put the device next to your keyless entry button on your door, scan the code or whatever it is and open the door, plug the thing to the car and they are able to turn de car on and just drive off.
i actually saw this happening on video. A co-worker's 2013 g 37 sport coupe was stolen like this it was captured on security cameras.
it really sucks, we work hard for our stuff...

New car with expensive (rims stereos or other customization)
The police don't care unless your car was used in a commission of a crime.
(A co worker had her car stolen, they then used it to commit a bank robbery)
Insurance company only cares because it's a claim & they can't recover loss from anyone, unlike an auto accident. That's why you have insurance, it's unfortunate but true.
It's a lease, so on the bright side your not out major$.
Hope all works out for you, next car get a LoJack.
Then again, once they have done who knows what.
Better off you didn't get it back all messed up & then have to fix it.

Sorry to hear about the G thefts lately. Have you guys every thought about live GPS tracking? Something you should look into for next vehicle. Monitor from cell phone or computer, text messages when ignition turned on or off, can also do remote ignition disable/kill.
