Guys, Black Betty did my install and was great to just talk and hang out with. He knows tons about our cars. I did the drive to Baytown and it wasn't bad. Actually a nice cruise in the G, but that's just me. I wouldn't trust any ol' shop with my G. Just sayin. All the best!

Yes but I also stole change out of your ash tray and installed a hidden GPS tracking device so I can steal your car when you least expect it. I've been waiting for you to get some new wheels first. Hurry the hell up!

I would drive to Baytown and let BB do it. It's not a terribly difficult job but there are a few tricks for the front springs. If you try to DIY with the regular spring compressor tool that you rent from the local auto parts store then you will be very sad when you get to the part of compressing the fronts and getting the top bolt on. I would offer my services but BB beat me to it and he's a nice enough guy. Oh, and he knows what he is doing but watch out for his GPS tracking devices, he's sneaky like that. If you want to save money then maybe do the rear yourself and see what the charge is for just the front. Rears you can do it about 30 minutes or less with the right tools. Good luck!

If someone would rather come to you because it's easier or closer to where they live or cheaper that's fine by me. If folks would rather DIY that's great too. But a number of folks have tried to do this themselves and been disappointed when they learned that their skill level wasn't what they thought it was or that they don't have access to the right tools.

I've done work for quite a few in the Houston area G community and hope to continue to do it. I have yet to have anyone complain (at least to me anyway). I'm competent and reasonably priced. But when folks want to take their car elsewhere or do it themselves, I'm completely cool with that. Unless you happen to live out my way I'm far from most G owners around Houston.

Good advice on the regular compressor on the Eibachs. It's a no go unless you have the right tool.

I just got mine done with Andy of Team Rush on Richmond Ave near Fondren Road. I had to wait because he was installing springs on a Porsche 997 but he knows his stuff. 713-972-0711. Best of luck.

ha yea i recently did the install myself and had a hard time finding non-gougers. It's probably due to the bad economy

I'll PM you my price.
Would you be able to install an Eibach lowering spring kit on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8? If so how much would you charge me?

Sweet baby Jesus you revived this thread that’s 8 years old to inquire about me doing a spring install on your GC! I’m both confused and flattered. Lol. I don’t usually do this sort of work for others anymore these days. But if you don’t have any other options I can.

I suppose I can can take a look but honestly it’ll be a while before I have the time to do anything. I’m not able to this week or next or the week after that. Mid October is the earliest. PM me if you’re interested.

So I took a quick look at what’s involved with this job. I don’t want any part of it. The tears are easy but the fronts are a PITA. Find a good local shop. Sorry I can’t help you.
