Starting up a new Car Club or getting in an existing one...?
So I'm new to this concept but I'm very much interested in it. Anyone that has ever done so, or is in one now and can provide some insightful information about their experience would greatly be appreciated.
I'd like to either start up a new one, or join an existing one and would appreciate some advice.

We briefly spoke about it at the meet. In the beginning, you should ask your self why you want to be part of a club. What is your goal for joining together with other enthusiasts? Do you want to...
* attend car shows
* attend racing events
* go to car meets
* pick up women
* pick up men ... lol
* have a group to cruise with on nice days
* have friends to help work on cars
* just make new friends
* etc
What are your ultimate plans for the car?
How dedicated are you to being part of a team?

My personal experience with being a part of Team 16 Niss has been nothing short of awesome. I was invited in to become part of the team. I've made quite a lot of friends, which are now some of my best friends. I've learned and grown a lot in my time with the team. But your experience is what you make of it, and it is very dependent on what group you decide to join or what people you decide to recruit. Surround yourself with quality, intelligent, professional people and you'll have a great time.
