Time to rethink the questions you ask, how you go about asking them, or invest some effort in making friends with the search feature maybe?

If you care to post link to the threads you're referring to I'll be glad to take a look and tell you where you're going wrong as I see it. I don't care enough to take my time to look through your threads for myself though. Sorry.

I took the time to look through the threads and they all had replies. What are the lingering concerns?

I looked at his post history and there are only 2 things he posts about:
  1. A question he has.
  2. Complaining about not getting a prompt answer.

Literally, look at his post history, it is obvious.

This is what we call a leech. I'm fine that he benefits from all the information on this site, that is why it exists, but he is definitely not a contributor. I don't feel that puts him in a place to complain.

Here is the post that he got 2 of his 3 "Thanks" for.

Holy heck guys, this has escalated pretty quickly. Take a step back and realize you're arguing about arguing on the Internet.

If I don't want to answer a thread, I ignore it. If they bump it, I typically nudge them towards the search function, but answer their question anyways.

No one said you can't ask questions. The problem is that you are calling out the forum for not answering your questions in a prompt manner. This will not benefit you in the long run. While I was looking at your threads I noticed a lot of your "unanswered" questions were in other people's threads. This means you thought of a question while reading someone else's thread and asked it there. There isn't anything wrong with that, but it has less likelihood of being answered.

If you are in dire need of having a question answered, that has not been answered on this forum, take the time to start a thread in the correct sub forum. This will almost guarantee that your question will be answered. Some of the best threads on the forum have started as a good question. There is a caveat though. If you ask a question where the answer is readily available, put on your flame suit.

The point here though is don't play both sides. You can't call out the forum and try to use the forum as a scapegoat claiming innocence due to ignorance. Black Betty is a serious contributor and you ruined any interest he had in helping you, that isn't doing yourself any favors. Other people get turned off on helping from this behavior as well.

I agree, but I am much more compelled to answer well thought out questions that don't seem demanding. I like to see that the person was willing to put in the effort to ask the question effectively (supplying pics, etc.). I come from a car forum where this wouldn't even have played out because there would have been consequences for talking to the staff like that.

No shortage of answers to this post, lol.

yes, bb is very smart with G's and a great asset to the site. his input is very informative. however I find many of his comments condescending. im not trying to pick a fight but im not gonna sit here and let folks take jabs and expect me not to speak my mind. RYNE you are trying to be helpful after calling me a "leech". cant say I understand that. this whole thread didn't start out serious, it was just an observation I noticed. yes I like to post on old thread because it already has relevance. when I try to make my own thread I am asked to search, trust me I really try. i think everybody can be a little nicer, but what ever.
