Post count to originate thread in classified section

I am posting this because I feel the post count of 100 is entirely too high as a minimum for trying to post something in the classified section. Maybe to originate a thread about a CAR, but for smaller parts of a car I feel like 100 is crazy and keeps out a lot of good product that would otherwise be posted/sold here, including my rims that I would like to sell...

Keep in mind that posting in the classified forum is a privilege for people who are not paying for any membership to this forum. It's not a right. Premier members don't have this requirement because they pay. People who are willing to pay a $5 subscription fee to sell a set of $1000 wheels don't have this requirement because they feel that .5% of what they stand to receive isn't unreasonable for advertising to the largest target market of G37 enthusiasts in the world. People who join the forum and participate contribute enough content reach 100 posts before too long and it isn't an issue.

Lurkers are welcome here. I lurked for months before even joining. There are tons of guests who frequent this forum and never even register. They read, learn, and gain a lot of knowledge without ever having to give anything back. That's fine. However because of the prevalence of scam artists, lurkers or non contributors have to be subjected to some small degree of "vetting" (such as it is) to try to protect the general population from being cheated in classified forum transactions. It can still happen, but it helps. It is IMO a very, very tiny price to pay for what you receive. Where else and you get a dedicated target market to sell things to for free? Nowhere.

So IMO, making a few legitimate posts to offer your help or insights to others isn't too much to ask in return at all. For those who feel differently, try your luck on Craigslist. Good luck with reaching a dedicated consumer base and not getting scammed.
