No teaser rule is dumb

What's dumb is posting a picture of no use that doesn't say anything about the purchased item, then loading the thread with space wasting comments and posts telling the OP how "gay" teasers are.
Yes its fun now, but when members try and search in the future they have to dig through a **** loads of useless posts before getting to useful info.
Feel free to post teasers in the useless thread if you want, but keep the technical and media share sections teaser free please

I put that rule in place a few days ago when people got to the stage where they're posting pictures of the wrapping & packaging as teasers. They then get too lazy to mount or install leaving that thread to extend for days worth of useless posts.
I agree with this rule completely. I don't care about your packaging, or the fact that you opened a box and found something inside of it. I don't care what that something is, unless you've installed it on your car and have some pics of the instal process or the completed project. I'd love to see how you did it, or what you ended up with. I really don't care about your box or pics of misc. parts on your garage floor though.

Do whatever your doing and post up after if you wish.
Teasers have always been perceived as being extremely ghey by the mature members here. Especially considering some of the members here who have participated in that nonsense and where they are now...
Maybe the next rule could limit the amount of pics uploaded to a single thread & require a link instead to another page (photobucket etc.) where we can see all the thumbs and just click on the pics that interest us. There could still be 10 or 15 of the best pics uploaded to the thread and a link to the rest.
There has been some threads like the very nice vacation pics from Italy ect. that did not seem annoying to have sooo many pics in one thread, probably cause the pics were all sooo awesome...but alas, how could we possibly have a certain quality standard that could only allow the thread to contain more than a predetermined amount of pics IF a certain quality standard was achieved? A certain thread with an excessive amount of crappy rolling shots comes to mind...
