Signatures--Just a thought to speed things along

Considering that we now have different G37 models with equipment upgrades for the various years, it would be helpful if more, if not all, members included signatures in their CP settings, describing the model, year, mods and packages they have before asking questions for which the answers may vary dependent on these parameters. For example, in responding to a navigation question, the nav on my ’08 is certainly different than those starting in ’10.

And including one’s location in the details section would also help if a question’s answer varies dependent on where a member lives.

+ 1............. good idea as a general suggestion. maybe include it in the rules which everyone should read at least once?

i think its a good idea, but the one reason i can see people not including it is that they would rather want their sig to have all their mods rather than what year and packages. This is a problem for anyone not a premium member as we are only allowed one line as a total length for our signature.

I’m not sure what you mean. Are you saying that if a complete mods list takes more than one line then it’s better to have no signature at all? Then again, perhaps a member with than many mods should be a premium member anyway.

Yes anyone who is non-premier can not rock a signature longer than 1 line of text... But I think your idea is a good one.

I can't fit my mods on one line of text since the rights to HTML sigs were STOLEN from us

It would be helpful to have at least 2 lines of signature for helpful information. How difficult could that be? Is that possibility really taking away from Premier Membership?

Exactly. The garage is free. Or just have a one line link to the garage.

Yes, but it would be even better if it showed coupe or sedan. That does come up once in a while.

hmm.. something i just thought of-
is there anyway to have an "auto-header" feature when starting a thread? like in the for sale section it goes:
Category:
Price:
Private or Vendor Listing:
Part fits:
Location (State/Prov):
Item Condition:

maybe whenever someone starts a new thread it should prompt them for year, model, trim, coupe or sedan, and additional info.. just a thought

Too many restrictions on here , really taints what would be, a really good forum. Don't understand the cheapness around here, one line sig is ludacris..imo.... The premium membership just wasn't worth the money to me.... I mean I,m trying to help others out on here...
