improving site

How about removing 'for sale' ads after items have been sold or some sort of sundown to remove older ads?

We try to lock For Sale ads after the items have been sold to stop them from being resurrected. Of course, it's tough for us to catch all of them.

I think I get what you are saying though. You are getting those items already sold in your searches which makes the search difficult?

With the for sale ads, to help the mods out, why not include a way for the seller to close the thread once the item has been sold or taken off the market? And why not archive sold items in a different (new) section of the classified forum to avoid them from showing up when searching for sale items?

Anyone - the seller, buyer, or anyone else - can simply click the "Report Post" button (the blue triangle with the exclamation point in the center) to inform the staff if an item is sold in a classified. We don't always immediately notice if an item is sold and it helps. A few members are particularly good about this. Thanks.

I believe Premier Members can close their own threads.

here's another one: have you guys checked out acurazine.com?
their sections per car (TL, TSX, RL) are separated into performance & mods, problems, audio, etc. plus a general discussion section down below. having that with our website would be AWESOME. so much more organized. however, i do understand that the mods do have lives, etc. can't spent their entire time doing this and that. but it'd be nice...

We're working on an iPhone App at the moment, and the plan is to do a Droid one down the road depending on how well received the iPhone one is.

Bimmerpost just released one a few days ago. Not that I browse those forums often but it is a great addition to my App collection and would certainly allow for easier, more efficient access to MyG37 on-the-go! Hope to see this soon.
