Personally, I would like to see "Status Updates" something that feeds on the Users Profile, it could also feed into the New Posts section. There are alot of Social Networks that use these tools to update others on what a member is currently doing or planning on doing. Status updates could be used to send out a message that reads... "Updating my HID bulbs... Sending out PM's on new exclusive pricing... Heading out to the Riverside meet or Updating my user profile, check it out... or whatever they want to within reason. Currently, there is no function like this that is available. The only thing that shows is "Visitor Messages" which most no one uses. This type of feedback encourages activity and interaction and overall would be a great site improvement.

While I'm glad that a mobile version was implemented and I hope it helps some, I personally don't like it. I may work fine for others but on the iPhone it's much worse than the regular version IMO.

Nice try and hanks for the effort though.

All I can say is that we've taken feedback from 7 sites before installing our final product here.

It's been pretty well received elsewhere, our apologies for not meeting your expectations.

We'll be working on platform specific apps heading into the new year.

cheers,
robb

Agree with you BB.... iPhone + Moble version = Fail ... JK its a very good idea and I think it just needs to be improved apon. Then everything will work great.

Improving website

I think the search engine is lame - if you put in CAI for instance, nothing comes up but it is used a lot. Also, it would be nice if the appearance of postings you have been into that day was different that those you have not. If new postings have been added, then the appearance could revert to the new look. Incredible website -a great resource for G owners.

Good point about the "CAI" search. I don't know why it doesn't return any results. It should.

Click "New Posts". It will show everything that's changed since you last marked all forums read. Then when you read one and go back to the "New Posts", threads you've already read show in normal font, others that are still unread ones show in bold. If that makes any sense.

Thanks, I'm not using mark all forums read. Still new to the forum - that will definitely help.

That's what I figured. Once you mark them all read, when you return and click New Posts, only ones that have been posted in since you last marked them all as read will be shown. Threads win no new posts won't be shown. It's a very helpful feature.

Some other v-bulletin forums has the Search via Google build within the forum, maybe we can look into that?

I have seen other forums with a feature to thank users for a useful or helpful post. Others that allow you to give rep. That would be cool

Rep score is easily abusable, it was enabled on here but was very abused which was why it was disabled. Maybe if theres a way to moderate reps though, things might be different.
