There are somethings that are really annoying on this forum.

-You have to have a least 10 characters to post
-Search function is useless
-No iTrader (premiere only)
-Deleting your post (premiere only)
-Locking your own thread (premiere only)
-Lack of mobile viewing


Can the administrators work out these quircks?

Any other ideas post them here.

 

-If your post doesn't contain at least 10 characters, it isn't worth posting to begin with.
-Perhaps you are not using it properly, nothing we can do about that..
-No iTrader period, you can contact IB about that, I have asked multiple times.
-You should be able to delete your own posts regardless of forum status.
-Only moderators can open/close threads.
-Purchase a better mobile phone.

Anyways your post did not help. I think it is fair to say that we pay for a subscription and half of the request are not being fufilled. Whats up with that?

Funny i just looked at the main page and saw that same ugly freaking car thats been there for 2 years thinking it would be nice to see some others cars there and then i see thsi. this will be deleted im sure.

If pictures are posted in a thread then the img code will easily be more than 10 characters. I can't speak for IB but you are welcome to PM "IB Adrian" about the iTrader function. Trust me I have asked multiple times and for some reason the plug-in is disabled because I have the settings for it ON. I would love to give every user juice in the forums to moderate/close/delete their own threads/posts but very few will use these functions appropriately. And there are no settings to allow all users these moderation tools in a specific forum ie. marketplace.

As far as a mobile version of MyG37, that's just not something I am familiar with doing. I browse the forums daily with my iPhone and do not have any problems. Change your settings so only 10 posts will load per page and the quick reply is basic.

 

Again, I don't mean to keep on throwing the paid subsription card out there, but is there. We paid for a subscription and majority demands should be honored. I don't think I need to PM IB, they should check out the forums and give out some answers.

I just think its better for all users. I have a perfect example. I sold my JL W6v2 two years ago, and I just receieved a PM asking if it is still for sale. Or My n96 that was sold a about amonth ago, and its still open in the FS sub forums. I think it would be nice if OP would be able to close threads in the FS section ONLY


I just don't think I need change any funtion on my phone to myg37.com mobile to work.

Afterall we are the customers.

If you are the OP on FS thread, cant you just delete your original post?

I think people are missing the point here... The moderators and admins are not the forum owners. While some of us are in contact with IB about improvements, please understand that we do not make those decisions.

You are welcome to PM me directly and I can work with DGC to get you suggestions up to IB for review.

I wholeheartedly disagree with search being useless, It works perfectly fine for me. I wish more people would try it. I haven't been to the main page that solo hates so much in over a year. Does anybody else actually go to that page or does everyone else just have the actual forum homepage bookmarked like I do? Site functions perfectly in my iPhone but I can't comment for other mobile devices. I do agree that iTrader would be great, if I need to PM IB Adrian that's what I'll do. Maybe if a lot of us sent him polite PM's requesting it and not demanding it, he might be more receptive. It is annoying to have the 10 character minimum, but as DGC said, many posts under 10 characters are useless though not all of them.

As I mentioned before, this option is not possible. You should always edit your FS threads once the item has been sold. I do not like to "delete" threads and too many people will abuse being able to open/close threads. I'll put in another request for iTrader, we will see how it goes. If you aren't going to bother helping out the cause by PM'ing IB, then please don't complain that your "demands" are not being met. I can assure you it is unlikely anyone will be taking the time to read and respond to this thread via the forums.

Edit: Not too mention, a lot of users on Driver abuse the iTrader system as well, providing false feedback from their other accounts etc.. Now we have to keep an eye on all that mess too?

 

Things I don't like about this forum.

People complaining about trivial stuff, when if they want all these options maybe they should make their own forum. You can't please everyone, I think that this forum has a very simple easy to use format, and provides good information, if you know how to use it. The iTrader thing would be nice, but obviously it's not in our control nor is it in DGC's control.
