I understand both sides. It's hard to find a good compromise that everyone can agree to. I'm thinking the main reason for this is people hogging bandwidth, mostly from images. If you could disable "img" tags in the signature only, I think this wouldn't be as big of an issue, am I right? I know you can do it site-wide, but that would screw the premier members over. Personally, what I would do is re-enable HTML, expand the character limit just a little bit (perhaps 200), and monitor users who try to use images in their sig. If they do it, give em a warning, and if they fail to adhere to your rules, then lock their account. I know it's more hassle for the moderators, but it at least gives everyone what they want, no?

Bah, I don't care, I'm talking out of my @$$ haha. Rules are rules, and I'd gladly give up a signature for access to this site. There's such a plethora of great information here and that's worth more than anything else.

I may be interested in premier membership, but I'm wondering if it comes with anything else other than signature/avatar flexibility. Are there other benefits?

*EDIT* Oh, and no one ever answered my question on why the policy is different on G35driver than here...just curious.

I think all of this crap started because the server is running like S*** lately. We don't have that many members or activity yet and every other time I click on something I get a message telling me the server is busy. They took out the HTML and reduced the pics size yada yada yada to speed every thing up I 'm guessing. I paid to be able to use the site and get frustrated waiting on it all the time.

The server crashed not long ago and they put us on the same one as Driver when that happened (I saw something about that on another thread). You can't tell me that they don't make enough money off of adds to buy a new $2000 server. Having a cool sig is the least of my worries. I just want the server to not get bogged down all the time when I paid to use the site.

P.S. This site is nothing without us the members.

MyG37 has always run on the same server as Driver.

AGAIN, these rules were implemented back in 2005.
