You could tune 50 cars with the same tuner cable, but you would need either a new Osiris license ($300) for each one, or first remove the license from one of the ecu's to transfer onto the other ecu.
I agree that the wording on Uprev's website doesn't make it very clear, but what they are trying to say is that you cannot tune more than one car with the same license at the same time. Once you transfer the Osiris license onto your ecu you can reflash updates onto the ecu as many times as you want, but without first removing the Osiris license you can't tune a different car.
As long as you have to "back to stock" rom file you can unmarry the cable from the ecu and return the osiris license to it within 5 minutes.
Hope that helped clear it up

As long as you first unmarry the cable from the first ecu you can use it on any other supported ecu that you want, you just need the rom file for that specific ecu (which is free from uprev or any tuner)

And my original question, has it been used on any ECU before?

I think it did clear it up for me, thanks. If I were to buy this, I could buy a second license from Uprev for $300 (separate licenses for each ECU) and then I could tune both of my G's as much as I wanted with one set of software and one cable, correct?
