I just received my PnP version of these modules for the Sedan. And I haven't messed with it yet, because it's 20 freaking degrees F outside, and I don't have a heated garage, grumble b1tch grumble. Anyway, being PnP, I anticipate zero problems, and am looking forward to seeing my new rear turn-signal behavior.
DD, answer me this noobish question... I understand the connectors, just slip them between the circuit. But what's the yellow wire for?
. I thanked them with another order for the remaining lights since I realized it would require taking the bumper off in order to install the fog on the passenger side.
I was able to install the DD LED XLM2s without removing the bumper. The passenger side is much more difficult, but it can be done without removing the bumper.
Someone in another thread asked me if you ever explained that yellow wire.
The yellow wire is unused on the G35/G37's. For some vehicle-specific applications, it allows you to use the factory turn signals as additional backup lights, but the lenses are red on the G's, so that's not compatible.
