Yeah, the limited availability of 10mm bolt on spacers was definitely a red flag. I was willing to take a chance since they were from a quality brand and made in Japan, opposed to a cheap part mass produced in China. That made me feel that there was some actual engineering going on. The nuts were fine, although they didn't actually receive much force due to the weak socket, lol.

If the spacer is made from the same material as the socket, then...

I would never feel comfortable driving the car with them installed after that experience.

I have this odd obsession with wheel fit. I have at least one more set of spacers to try before I consider it the best I can make. Hopefully I don't end up realizing the 10mm spacers that were useless were my best bet.

The wheels actually are a good amount of pop. In person, they range from a bright silver to a gunmetal. They don't match the car paint the way my old wheels did. I have a few other aesthetic mods planned to add some contrast. I'd love to have the calipers painted it just seems hard to do without down time.

I've done black wheels and hated it.

No no keep the wheels as is they look good...avoid black.
Need to have the contrast elsewhere, maybe lugs or center caps...idk I'm biased with colors.

I agree. I have black lugs and the black Work center caps already. I am planning on a black diffuser, probably AKV1. Maybe do something with the fog light trim also.

I'm definitely fine with constructive criticism and don't take offense at all. If I did, I wouldn't post on the internet, lol.

You can see the center caps and lug nuts better in this picture.

I do like black accents on a grey car, the wheels just didn't work for me. Most lighting made them look cheap or reminded me of hub caps - even with a nice set of 20" wheels. I look forward to adding some black accents to add some contrast to my car now that my wheels are a bit lighter.
