In the maint. manual there's a special tool to lock the flywheel in place.This will make the job a lot easier. I'm installing mine this week along with JWT clutch and flywheel I'll post after the install. I don't have the tool but since I'm doing the other stuff I'll come up with something to lock the flywheel in place.

I'm sorry for the delays, I started to scan all my dyno's from the past 3 months or so, I have done 5 total, but my scanner crapped out after the first 2 were scanned. I made an entire new post on all my results, but only have 2 of the 5 graphs up. I'll put the other 3 up when I get paid again and can afford a scanner. The UR pulley gained 5 HP for me after an ecu reset and 200 to 250 mile break in period. The JWT pop-charger actually yeilded an impressive 7 HP even with all the other mods. Once again, sorry for the delay, and lack of graphs, but they'll be up shortly.

Good gain on that pulley, cant beat the gains for the dollar amount, thats for sure. I need to have UR ship me more of these

 

Well, from Stillen:

"100% of the power gains from the stock diameter pulleys comes only from weight reduction versus the factory crank pulley. The reduced weight allows for more power transfer to the drive wheels. Any of our accessory pulleys that are listed individually can be used in any combination with our stock diameter crank pulley or purchased as a set. The stock diameter crank pulleys are available in polished finish only."

I saw no info on the weight difference so the answer remains a mystery, physics-wise. No argument with the HP claim either considering the math involved. I don't push pencils much anymore. Good habit for students, though.

Is there a before/after dyno out there for just adding the pulley?

Not dissing the mod, just questioning the cost/benefit ratio. This mod should be the last you make to get that last fraction of power after everything else is done unless you choose to underdrive the system. And that's not a wise decision.

I wanted to get some insight from guys at UpRev (a premier Nissan tuner) about crank pulleys and their effect on HP. First of all, does the ECU need to adjust to a lighter crank pulley? Second, does having variable valve timing or forced induction improve the amount of power someone can get from a crank pulley? Finally, if horsepower gains aren't shown from a lighter pulley, is performance still improved due to the engine revving faster?

Finally had my pulley installed at Stillen. Car seems to have a tad more zip now.
