So no response back from UpRev but it has been confirmed by others on this forum and the Z forum that it is the "tuner" cable and will allow someone with a license already on their ECU to tune their own car.

I reached out to uprev today to confirm this wire would work for me and they said I would need rom password

if you have a uprev tune on the ECU already you can not use it to adjust the current tune without it

I have the script file that was sent when I upgraded to the "tuner" version. Not sure if that would be the ROM password or not.
