CarPC / Carputer Plug-and-Play Complete Setup

Category: Audio/Video/Electronics
Price: $500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: 2008-2009 G37 Coupe, 2008-2009 G37 Sedan
Location (State/Prov): TX
Item Condition: Used

I am wanting to sell my carputer kit that I built. I recently uninstalled it because I am getting ready to sell the car. It has worked great for several years. I put this kit together front the start to be a plug and play kit, so that if I uninstalled it, I would be able to hand it off to someone else and here we are.

This comes complete with the Video converter, touchscreen overlay screen, compact CarPC (250gbSSD, 8gb Ram, ION processor), custom made power cords, relay switch harness, GPS sensor, in-car recording cam, and tons of extras (relays, wires, in-line fuses, connectors, etc)

The link above was the overalll motivation on this project.

The PC itself has Centrafuse already installed with windows office as well as many other useful programs. I can send all the specs if you are interested. Let me know.

Thanks,
Ryan

Unfortunately I did not ever take pictures of it when it was installed (egg on my face). It all still works and I can take pictures of it setup in my office.

Also, I mirrored this project directly from ModMe's project.

I recently installed windows 8 on the CarPC because I was going to install it in another car that had a higher resolution screen but went another route. I'm not sure that the G37 screen can handle that resolution, so it may need to be downgraded back to Windows XP due to the lower res.

Still have this available guys! I can post more pictures if the interest is there. I also have a small camera for recording that hooks up to the computer as well.

Possibly interested in this.

Does this allow the following: Bluetooth Streaming (I am non nav), Bluetooth calling (I know the stock unit has it, but i can't be hooked up to two different bluetooths at once), Navigation, video playback?

Let me know a little more about it. Currently searching for solutions for the aforementioned features.

Does this work like the directus Prodigy and work with the stock unit seamlessly?

Very Good question! The bluetooth OBD II is specifically for connecting the computer to the Car to view the car's different Sensors (A/F ratio, Temperature sensors, RPM, Oil pressure, MPH, etc) for a better analysis of the car's performance.

The Carputer has bluetooth capabilies but only one function can be used at a time (either view all the guages because its connected to the OBDII sensor or stream your phone to the carputer or another bluetooth device). I built this so that you can switch back and forth form the stock system to the carputer by the flick of a switch. I did not add a call feature with the carputer because my cars call feature worked great already. The carputer has Navigation on it as well and comes with a USB GPS sensor.

Hope this helps explain it a little bit. Please let me know if you need more explanation or have different questions.

Thanks!
Ryan
