This is how it was explained to me by 365AUTOSPORTS.

Hello,

The way it works is, your current tpms system you can still keep. However, in order for the system to work with aftermarket wheels, you need these bracket adapters, otherwise your tpms system will not work. So you connect your tpms you have on your car now and just buy these bracket adapters and your good to go. But you will need these on your new wheels in order to get the tpms system to work properly. Would you like to order a set? You got us at good timing as we are limited on stock due to high demand. Looking forward to your reply.

No I just bought new sensors and kept my factory wheels/tires/sensors for winter time.
