Awesome. Did you get to go full out? I can't believe someone has not asked your lap time yet....
Yesterday was a tourist day, the GP track was being used for a race. My fastest was only an 11:23 on a semi wet track. My friend was telling me if you can hit sub 9s you are really moving. 11s felt pretty fast to me. Not to bad for my first time though, definitely not going to be my last.
The carousel had to be the most fun, something about hitting it and feeling the G's pull you down, that is something you will never get from Forza or Gran Turismo simulators. The hardest thing to get used to was the elevation changes and the blind corners. Coming up over some of the hills, you can't really tell which way the track is going to go until the last couple seconds. I guess I will just have to practice more until I can memorize it.
Does playing GT5 for countless hours (presuming that you have) not help you understand the layout of the track pretty well? I know from playing simulations that where I would have problems are on Flugplatz and Aremberg.
