^ Yup to both. Also, a professional re-paint that is a color switch is very expensive and never looks right. They cannot paint your engine bay, etc. It will always be red and you'll know the car has been painted. Many other areas are very difficult, and if done right, big $$$$

Not worth it, especially just to do BLACK which is an OEM color. Buy a black G. ..if you were wanting to do something unique, then maybe.

^ what he said. If you want a black G, get rid of yours and get a black one. If you want to paint your G, paint it matte black or that gasoline color that changes color at every angle.... anyone know the actual name for that??

I don't know if people have a slang term for it, but it is just pearl. Pearl is an additive added to the paint. OEM pearls are the same color pearl as the base paint (typically). I.E. white pearl added to white paint. ^ With those they add an opposite color pearl to the base, say red pearl on white paint. The car is white, but when the sun hits it at certain angles you get a red. The more pearl the more the effect. The real extreme that you are talking that go from like orange to blue to green to purple is a very heavy amount of those color pearls.

^Chameleon paint.

OP Your red looks great. You're probably just tired of it which is understandable after a few years. At that point I say get a new car! :P

A black foiled/painted car will look like another black color G. There are tons of pics of black g's with painted wheels and spacers on eibach drop just like yours. Go thru those threads.

Agreed with all above... are you drunk? haha jk The red is sick, and if you don't agree, then it is only worth changing if you want to do a really different custom color. Chameleon paint is for show cars and after a few minutes of looking at it, it just looks lame.
