great platform to build from, but the chassis and engine has run its course..
Agreed, it's accepts modifications very well. The problem is that the car is just too complex. There are too many little, expensive parts to break. So it's hard to use as a daily driver after the car gets on in years. I found myself spending more time under the hood and on the end of a tow truck than behind the wheel the last couple of years. Even a car guy can only take so much.
Jeez, I'd have had a hard time letting that Z go at that price. I'd rather keep it personally....
I would have loved to keep it but I've got no room for a car that can't be reliably daily driven. I came home twice in the last few months on the end of a tow truck for unrelated break downs. When I go some where I gotta know I can get there.
If you want one, check out ebay. There are lots there in just as good condition. Here's one in similar condition and 30 000 less miles.
