the roads are fall apart over here, i've seen asphalt hit my windshield and my hood (different car btw)

Depends what part of town. They patch with gravel a lot. When the do decide to fix things the right way, they tear down multiple roads all at once. The priorities in Dallas are beyond me. The freeways and toll roads are nice. 75 is like a Need for Speed game.
