Quart's Athens Blue G37
Thanks
Thanks for the compliments. As for any change, my style is rather unique. I like to build my cars to look like something that might have come as an option at the factory, but isn't. I like sleepers. My 2003 M45 had a new suspension and brakes, underneath a set of factory FX45 20-inch wheels and 255/30/20 tires. It didn’t look stock, but didn’t look crazy custom either.
Most of my mods for this car so far are subtle and hopefully indistinguishable to the untrained eye, i.e. my co-workers and others. So far I have put in a custom remote mount Passport SR7 radar detector with laser jammers, a Stillen intake and today, I went a bit wider than stock tires (245/40/19 Fr & 275/35/19 Rr) and changed from the regular Bridgestone Re050a Pole Positions that we all got from the factory, to the same tire but in a run flat.
My next project will be to replace the spare tire with a custom subwoofer box and upgraded audio to get a slightly better audio experience...thus the Run Flats. Then maybe later an exhaust, suspension tweaks and such when they become available and that’s about it. I am contemplating doing an OE Sport spoiler, but think the car might be more of a sleeper without that.
So don’t worry about this guy loosing the classiness of this ride. If I ever did do anything slightly away from the OE look, I have envisions the car totally stock “looking”, but with a carbon fiber hood and maybe a Stillen supercharger under that hood. But that is only after the 2010 TT is available and I find out how much more it is. For some reason the idea of the black hood is appealing.

Looking at your shots makes me realize how much this car looks like a 4x4 at stock height
I'm waiting for the Eibach Pro's (supposedly .9 .9 drop) to install on my 37.
In any case I'm also interested in seeing a shot of the rear tire replacements. A couple of shots, if necessary, to really show the look up close and more in context with the car.
Thanks

Here is a shot of the car stock, with OEM tires.

This is a shot after the new tires are on and a pair of 8mm spacers went on the front. I have a set of 5mm going on the rear but aren't on yet.

Here is the before from the rear

and the after

Front stock

Front w/ 245/40/19 and 8mm spacer

Keep in mind these shots where taken right after the car came down off the jack, so the suspension hasn't settled (thus the wheel gap)

Need some rear shots similar to how you shot the last two front shots. Need some angle to see how the tire sits on the rim and how the rim/tire sits in relation to the rear body/fender.
Looking good though! Seems more aggressive (but still hard to get a feel of the rear from the shots).

I'll get some new shots when I can...
There was no issue with rubbing, the spacers just make it look.... "right".
Unfortunately these are cheap spacers I tossed on for a temporary gauge of how things would look.... I don't like using anything but good quality spacers like H&R, but all H&R makes for these cars are a 5mm and 10mm.... 5mm on the front may be too little, 10 mm would be to much. I had these laying around and wanted to see how it looked...
I like it so will stick with them if I can find a quality alternative. These cheaper spacers, aren;t even the same diameter of the hib, which worries me.
