Platinum Graphite G37 Pictures
My guess amethyst looks purplish in the sun. Otherwise, under shade, they should be very close.
One great thing about Platinum Graphite is that it hides dirt very well i'm sure...

Ok this is the best I could do, it is hard to tell at some times which is which, but yah you can see a slight tint of purple at certain angles. The one on the left is AG, the PG is on the right and the Slate in the middle.

BTW... I'm just kidding... you might be very well right in it turning beige in sunlight... and it could very well be the camera...
The 'ol diamond graphite, which of course was replaced be plat. graphite, does the same thing. After a wash and wax you can really see some light brown/beige hues in the metallic paint. This really can only be seen in the direct sunlight.
I saw a diamond graphite 07 G35 coupe alongside a platinum graphite 08 G37. Platinum graphite definitely has some more brown in it (and looks slightly duller as far as the metallic aspect goes). It is more of a warm grey than diamond graphite.
Though with the G35 diamond graphite would have been hands down my first choice, I'd have to say that with a G37 I'd consider AB, IP, and even OB (and I hate dealing with black) to be preferable.

I like the front and the sides but I feel like the rear is just ugly, not trying to bash but it sorta looks like they just used the Maxima tailights and tried to cross them with the G35s. In all honesty I think they really ruined the rear with the taillights & especially with that ugly spoiler.
but contrary to other people i DO like the front
