Ideas for painting a CF Hood on an IP coupe?

So I'm picking up a CF hood (OEM) style this weekend and was wondering if anyone here had their's partially painted to show some CF without just leaving the whole thing CF. Does anyone have any ideas of designs that are not too crazy, that would look nice? Any pics of G's with partially painted hoods, other cars, anything?

I haven't seen anyone partially paint their oem style cf hoods.
Especially on an IP and the way our hoods are shaped and curved. Unless the cf hood has vents, I think you should leave it as is.

IP is tough... You don't want it to look gawdy, ricey, or tacky. Do you have other carbon fiber parts on your car or will this be the only thing?

My suggestion? If I had a white car and wanted to incorporate some carbon fiber, I would consider doing a blend at the very end of the hood (closest to the windshield), where you have about 3" of carbon fiber showing then blending down towards the bumper, so 95% of the hood is Ivory Pearl. It's not over-the-top and/or in-your-face. I think it would look clean.

I hope that makes sense. Just my $.02.

This is the type of blend I have in mind:

(Although, obviously not blue and not nearly as much carbon showing... )

^^^ That a good idea. I could look badass with the proper ratio of CF to IP

I like that blend, it seems like a cool idea.

One other thought that crossed my mind was to have some white at the base of the hood (closest to the bumper) that has a very slight design come up on one side? Nothing too graphic or ricey, but something very subtle and light, possibly airbrushed. Has anyone ever seen this done?

I have cf hood with slots, & ip.
But ir have alot of other cf parts like the blend idea.
Imo would not paint oem cf, airbrushed not a bad idea, so many possibilites.
