Shop recommendation for used RHFC install

came across some used FI RHFC and was looking for an installer in the bay. Only issue is they are used and ZCG and AJ don't want to touch them... anybody recommend a shop that'll install used cats?

Any reason why they won't touch them?

Check some of the recommendations from the G35 website. Some of the guys there have already visited some of those mechanics.

Not only is it because they are used, but if it is a reputable shop they won't install HFC's because they are illegal in Cali. If they do some smog or have some other certs that they carry they can lose them if they are caught installing them. So you may have to install them yourself or find a shady shop

try these guys:

el camino mufflers santa clara ca

3295 El Camino Real # C
Santa Clara, CA 95051
Tel: 408 243 5590

Call first, see if you can talk to Armando and tell him your situation. I'll actually be surprised if he won't help you. IIRC, FI's HFCs are *supposed* to be CARB-ok. The GEN 1s might not be though (the first ones were BERK and they need j-tube extensions after a certain amount of mileage-- mine wouldn't smog when I came back from FL)

Sorry for the late response man. Good luck.

Put it to you this way, even direct replacement OEM cats will NOT be shipped to you if you live in Cali. You have to replace them with a dealer...period. CATs are the biggest pain in the a$$ in this state. You can get CARB Legal parts, intake or exhaust, but not cats. Sorry
