So I have been thinking about places to do a meet. My company will be having slow times soon and was trying to figure something out. I figured it should be a place that everyone kind of has to drive too but nothing too terribly far. I thought Sonoma maybe, almost an hour for me and I think for most it might be about the same or a little more. Then I thought of SF...but there is nowhere to park really. I'd say hit Six Flags but I think they will be shutting down soon...anyone else got an ideas?

Evil-G, Whats the territory of NorCal that you're thingking about? San Jose north, then out towards Sacramento/Folsum, then all north of that? How many G's are you thinking would come out?

We could potentially do lake merced in SF... depends on the day though. There is also the shops by crissy field or the marina. They have free parking, but that depends of day/time. SF is good for hitting bars/food after, but of course we need to drink... responsibly

Outside of that, we could also do a mall or something over in San Mateo or San Jose. If we do SJ, there's a few cats down there for sure (I just don't know SJ very well).

There is also Hayward (lol jk), Fremont, and Dublin/Livermore. SOO much parking out here it's ridic. If we do some place out toward the valley, there is B Dubs, and BJ's brewhouse. Just a few suggestions.

I like the Chrissy Fields idea. What I was thinking is make it fair for everyone. If we did SJ, I'd have to drive like 2 1/2 hours one way! I figure a spot that everyone has possibly no more than an hour drive would be good. I think that Chrissy Field would be a good spot, great for pictures, close to the Palace of Fine Arts with photo ops as well. Not to mention food and bars close by. It would just be a matter of when. OH, and Bravo, I have no idea how many G's would show. You never know

Thumbs up

One of my favorite mini pub crawls runs through cow hollow/marina:

Bus Stop, Blue Light, Bar None, Mauna Loa (SP?), Eastside West (if you have ladies w/ you, otherwise its the how-can-I-get-to-the-bathroom-without-spilling-this-effing-drink game). Top it off with cheap (but good) Pizza Orgasmica, and you have yourself an evening, gents!

SF is pretty reasonable for most of us central/east and northbay cats. You'd be surprised though, what people consider "east bay". Had one girl from walnut creek tryin' to rep the Eastbay, and I was like

Well according to Craigslist, east bay actually extends out to Tracy. They also decided to just lump Tracy in with Dublin/Pleasanton/Livermore sub region.

Lol, my rule-of-thumb was that if you aren't touching the bay, its a little silly to reference it. But who am I to question craigslist?
