Exclamation Need to replace windshield

A rock hit my g37's windshield in the upper corner, by the time I got home the crack was about 15 inches.

Can anyone please recommend a reputable auto glass shop for replacing on Long island NY? I googled around and found it was kinda complicated to replace g37's windshield, so need some experienced tech.

Or should I go to dealers for replacing? I have geico with full glass.

Really appreciated.

If you can get insurance to pay for OEM glass that would be best. Otherwise out of pocket 3rd party glass is not too bad. Some people complain they see wavy lines but that has not been my experience.

Had the same issue back in 2008 just a couple months after I got the G. Replaced it with an aftermarket windshield (made in KSA) and it's been 4 years and zero issues. Works perfectly fine and took all the dust and stones and such like a champ. Just make sure you do it at a good shop.

living in neighboring New Jersey, we are used to losing a windshield to a stone tossed by a truck tire. I have found that calling Safelite.com gives you the best prices for replacement, and the service is good. Depending on your location, they will probably come to you and do the replacement in your driveway. We have had the misfortune of a broken windshield at least three times now, and used them all three times with good results. If this happens now also to my G, they are the ones I will call.

^^^ what ihe said. Safelite is the way to go for windshields. Be sure to tell them you want OEM if thats what you really want. Otherwise they will go with the aftermarket because they truly believe it lives up to the standards of the OEM and will save both of you money. I went with the aftermarket they offer for my previous car (s2000) and drove for about 4 years without any issues. If you have full glass coverage, then the insurance may cover the oem in full, but my situation was different.

I'd be shocked if you didnt have a safelite within a 30minute drive distance from anywhere in NJ. They are everywhere in VA/DC/MD
