This thread makes me sleepy haha, well Bryant you decide on a car yet. I looked at pics of the Focus Titanium..not bad man, that focus has come a long way since the beginning. Still would like a VW rabbit or an R32 though

We will meet up at the theater parking lot in military circle mall, gather up and leave exactly 8:15am for Patrick Henry Mall(Bailey's) in Newport News.

Meet up with the G's of the peninsula area at approx. 9:00am.

We will leave Bailey's 9:15am sharp for Exit 89 on I-95N

 

How many of you guys are going up sunday. It'll be nice for once i'll see more than 2 G37's at a NGC meet lol. Can't wait to see everyones rides

Man I haven't been on here in a few days. I should be able to make this for sure. Sunday in NoVA is a neg for me, but I think there will be a few 37 guys there.

 

Isn't that the caravan for the NoVA meet? I'm confused.

You can't have your cake and eat it too I have an '07 IS250 AWD (it's for sale, but thats not why I'm defending it lol) and I average 31mpg on my commute from fredericksburg to Richmond and to the Beach when I go. I looked at the then new CT200 as well before I bought the used IS...and had the same thoughts, "its a prius with a different badge". Then I compared the epa ratings and the difference in price ($20k 2 years old vs $35k brand new) and solidificed my decision on the IS. Boy am I glad I did after I found out the EPA are pretty low on the lexus, most owners get high 20's and lower 30s while the EPA is only like 27 mpg.

My gf drives my old 07 G35X A/T and I used to do the same commute in it - I averaged 23 mpg on the same commute.

My current 08 G37 6MT gets 24 mpg on that commute.

There is no doubt that the G's are both quicker, but the mpg numbers don't lie. The lexus gets 30+% better fuel mileage. If you are "Lookin for fuel economy" and want a nice sporty drive, the IS250 can't be beat, and honestly on the freeway the tranny will downshift and get it moving *almost* as fast as the G. But around town the G definitely has the torque advantage.

 

VIRGINIA BEACH MEET - APRIL 16TH - INTEREST?

Anybody interested in attending a big meet we hold at Mt Trashmore on the 16th? It's an annual thing we do with the MR2 owners club which my company usually sponsors. Since we're getting into Nissans more nad more every day, I thought maybe we could combine meets. If there is any interest I will post up all the details, but its usuallly a fun laid back group of folks (usually 20-35 cars, about 40-50 people) and there is a mix of car brands although most have been Supras and MR2s.

 

We'll be there as well, didnt' realize there was a list on the other board, I didn't sign up
