As much as I would like something like an S4/S5, I don't think I could ever deal with the headaches of AWD ever again. From the uneven tire wear to the transfer case issues, it's not worth it in this climate. Looks real purdy tho

Dood, did you buy an amp yet??? I finally got my sub back and man am I happy again.

You guys are funny. My parents were out of town, so I just told my friend to park his S5 inside. In return, I got to drive it...pretty awesome machine.

Also, I didn't get an amp yet, decided to wait for a super nice sale which will probably not come.

And as far as the rolling shots are concerned, I would love to have some taken, but my sister took her Nikon back. Plus, don't forget to post up in the NGC forum and future of NGC thread that you are coming and what you are contributing to the potluck.

What's up this weekend? Some NGC meet?

Arjun that is a sick garage indeed. The S5 seems like it would be darn fun to drive.

Uneven tire wear on AWD? Were you running staggered tires? They shouldn't have uneven tire wear to any significant degree, my friends B6 A4 is still running strong after a built 2.0 with a GT28RS.

Yea, it's the "Future of NGC" meet. Basically, we are going to talk about the direction we want to head and how we are going to get there. I was wondering why you hadn't signed up for it...It could even be your third official meet and you could become an actual member!

I had an X-Type AWD 5MT 2.5L a few years ago. It was an outstanding car, when it worked. Transfer case had the strength of a toothpick and would flex under full throttle. Jaguar says it's sealed for life, but the t-case oil needed to be changed about once a year, and it was known for failing under 30k miles. I experienced all the above.

The car had a 40/60 power split which caused uneven wear. Not a huge issue until it's time to buy tires. You have two tires you can wear a little longer up front, but with AWD you have to change out the entire set each time to prevent issues with the transfer case. Maybe it was Jaguar, but it was a very finiky unit that wasn't built well.

So I have a pretty sour taste in my mouth for AWD, which is why I avoid it like the plague when buying cars.

Here she is below. I kinda miss the car, but don't miss the headaches it ensured to provide me at least once a month for nearly three years I owned it.

You only need 2 real meets to be an official member you azz. And that sounds like a serious talky kind of meet. Lets go to justins instead and fix our exhausts. Dude has a freaking LIFT! A LIFT ARJUN!
