Well i was home for only a short period of time, and to my luck it was at a time when the G27 hit dealerships. I didn't have a lot of time, but yesterday I went to INSKIP INFINITI of Warkick, RI. The only demo they had was out. So i set an appointment for today at noon to test drive it. How come as i'm talkin to the saleman he's not only tryin to get me to trade the sedan in for a 37 but the sentra in for an 08 FX. NOw granted if i hade the credit and the doe i would pull the trigger on that in a heart beat. But thats not reasonable nor could i justify doin that to myself. So i tell him i privately sellin my sedan and planing on getting the Skyline Coupe in Japan. And maybe, just maybe, if i can pay the sentra off in time I'd consider the FX this Jan. So he knows he's not gettin a sale on that day and all of a suddon has to do some paperwork for some G's that are sold already. this was yest.
Today I come in at noon, ready to get my drive on. I see the demo sitting out front OB, lookin sweet. You guys ARE right. You fall in love once you see it in person. next to it were two DG 37s ready to be picked up. Well the same guy is workin and already knowin i'm not makin a deal today. He basically tells me if i'm not buyin it today i can't test drive it. Come back in Jan when i'm ready and we'll talk. **** that. I gave Inskip loads of my money and business over the last two years. test drove the M35 when it came outand 07 G35, while there killing time during maintenance visits. This is how they treat a customer? Whatever man. I'm leaving outa town tonight and when i come back I prolly will get the FX, but i'll go to my original dealer. They treated me good. That's messed up. I wouldn't have given them my business either after that little stunt. A good salesman would have made time for a customer knowing full well that he might get a future sale. Quite shortsighted, imo.

 

i just bought my black on black g37 from kelly of boston.. i had no problem with them at all.. in fact they went above and beyond my expectations (see best of boston infiniti event thread for more info). I worked with brian P and their sales mgr bob. I'm loving every second of this car.. dont let it pass you up just because of a bad experience. Tell them you know john who they sold their first g37 to.. they know who i am.

Sorry to hear that! I had a similarly bad experience at an BMW dealership. It put such a bad taste in my mouth that I have not seriously considered a BMW in 5 years.

It a shame, that somethings these dealership don't get it. That their an extension of the brand and often the first point of contact for a customer when it comes to evaluating a car.

 

yeah my experience with Kelly of danvers was great, which is why i bought my g from them. I was very annoyed at the guys at Inskip considering that they recognized me, because I DO go there so much. All i wanted was a test drive so i could post up in the "for those that have actually driven the G37" thread. and the fact that i won't be back stateside til jan, means that even if i do get that test drive then. odds are pretty good that i'll have to take it easy.
