Branching off from the skills and resources thread, I wanted to see if a few people wanted to get together for an oil change day in the very near future. We can enjoy a few cold beers, and some warm synthetic oil.

this is a good idea.. i've done my own before, but since i've been bringing in my car for warranty work, i have them do it while it's in the shop anyways.. it'll be good to do it myself again..

let's get some people together and set a time and place..

it's not just changing the oil of our cars.. it's just bonding.. this doesn't have to be anything "official".. just a small gathering..

I'm telling you guys, if anyone knows anywhere we can rent a garage with a couple of lifts for a day in the city...

i have a crap wedding i have to go to this sat. i'm in sf almost every weekend helping my bud tear apart and renovate his place. weekend after this one would be great. regardless, it'd be cool to meet others who love their cars as much as i love mine. btw, the lift rental idea is pure genius.

 

Weekend after next is our "official meet."

Looks like I will do the oil change on my own, and we can plan a group one or another mod DIY day down the line.

There's tons of places in Golden Gate Park among many others. Everyone can throw in a few bucks for bbq and beer and have a non-parking lot meet.
