Pleasanton, Niello, or Oakland
I used to work in Niello's service department. It used to be managed by Bill Humphrey for about 15 years before he moved on a few months ago. I believe the manager there is Steve (not sure of his last name). Regardless of who managed the department, they all had to work under Dave Niello. If you're not aware, Niello is family owned. Dave is extremely strict with his employees when it comes to customer service and there are always incentives for delivering the highest level of service possible.
Not being able to duplicate a problem is only human however. It helps to have a technician ride in the car with you so that you can personally point out the issue you're having to them. Doing it any other way the odds will be 50/50 that they, or ANY mechanic for that matter will be able to duplicate your problem. The reason why you can take your car to another dealership to have a problem diagnosed if the prior couldn't duplicate it is because some dealerships see certain problems more often than others and thus may have more experience in solving that particular issue.
Nevertheless, take it from me... NIELLO CARES! I've never worked at a better dealership in my life. I am actually starting my second term with them next week in the sales department. Give them a chance. Not every experience at any shop is going to be 100% perfect but just watch how far Niello will be willing to go to satisfy you. Some of the things we did were unimagineable!
By the way.. I also know Rick Tiongson. He's definitely a great guy as is Jeff Raeberg

Ev, I appreciate your input, but I gave the Niello service dept. plenty of chances. I purchased my G there, so I was trying to show loyalty. Even after I moved away from the area I was taking my G to Concord for service. After so many dissappointments I just refuse to drive there for mediocre customer service. It's just not worth it to me.
My purchase experience was excellent at Niello though.

Big thumbs up for Infiniti of Oakland. I had my 45k mile service done and they fixed a few small problems. Louis Ridriguez was my service writer and he was great. We talked about what happened to me at Peninsula and he was pretty shocked at how I was treated there. All in all a very good experience. I believe I have found a new service dept!
On a side note I was checking out the M's and I was soooo tempted to trade in my G. Those cars are pure hottness!
