i had a bad impression from them as well when i was shopping for my G35 coupe. of all the dealers, they were the only ones who gave me a bad impression and were really pushy....least the dealer i spoke to on the phone was. I made an appt. and purposefully never showed up and never bothered to cancel, just cuz the salesman was a ***** to me.

I walked out of that dealership too!! When I was shopping for a G, the sales guy was being a total *****! The old fart was treating me and my girl like we were some young kids window shopping in a store. After some talking and pissing us off, I told him I wanted the car and what the price I was willing to pay was.........well after 30-45 minutes of crunching numbers and running my credit (which they said was mandatory...BS) with his manager (more BS)..... he comes backs saying they will give us a special deal with a mandatory warranty (msrp + warranty). The funny thing was that I went to go have a smoke after about 20 minutes or so of waiting, I saw the F%^er at the back of the dealership smoking.... killing time! So when he came with that offer, we just got up and left as he was saying "hold on , let me ask my manager if we can do a bit better", .........******!!!!

Penninsula Infiniti:
- tries to push Lojack and 2 other items like they're mandatory "on every vehicle we sell here"
- gives you counteroffers $4 cheaper than their last offer and likes to write "YOU WIN!!!", even though your initial offer was $3,000 away from what they're offering (wow, I guess since I won, I'll accept the offer now!?!?!?)
- thinks MSRP+markup is a great deal

My salesman at Penninsula Infiniti:
- magically used to work for Apple Computers for 15 years as an engineer, AFTER I mentioned I was in the tech industry. I wonder how he managed to move up to selling cars at a shady-*** dealership?
- tells me that he's MY FRIEND and he'd love to get me the car for invoice, but the invisible manager won't let him, and they spend hours in the back room 'arguing' about it
- 'entertained' me for 3 hours, tried to sell me a different color, then told me they had the car I wanted coming in, in about 3 weeks - BUT he didn't want a deposit and told me to call in every day for 3 weeks+.
- used the fact that it was sunny outside in negotiations.
- didn't get my business, but managed to waste 3 hours of my (and my gf's) lives. At least he didn't sell any cars during those 3 hours.

glad to see i'm not the only one. i went through the same exact experience as aaron6166. they wasted 2 hrs of my time going back and forth saying they had the car and then they didnt. the sales guy told me they had the exact car i wanted but that it was in their "warehouse" so while it was being shipped to the dealership, we would go over the price and financing details. then in the middle of negotiating, he says that the car was hit by a rock on the highway during transport, breaking one of the headlights and denting the hood. He said that they would fix it if i still wanted the car. of course i wanted a brand new undamaged car so i declined. there was another car on the lot that matched my specifications sans the navi, but he told me that it was already sold earlier that day. so after telling me about the rock incident on the hwy, he offers to sell me the other one that was already "sold" earlier to someone else, saying the guy was supposed to come back later that night to sign the papers. but since he was late, he would be willing to sell it to me if i really wanted it. so after about two hours of b.s. from this guy, he tried to sell me a different color and wanted a nonrefundable deposit if i ordered. needless to say, i walked out and went straight to pleasanton and placed my order.

same thing happened to me, i walked out of there and they tried calling the next day, and the day after, i told them SURE and setup a damn appointment because I didn't want to wait 30-hour. SO when I showed up at my appointment, I rolled in with my 05 IP Coupe with serramonte badges on them. He was like...who's car was this?

hahahaha...you actually took the time to go back to the dealership? priceless. what'd they say? they called me back about two months later after i had bought mine and asked if i was still looking. told them i bought mine from pleasanton and he had the nerve to ask why i didnt go through them instead.

I bought my 2000 G20 at Peninsula and went back but after reading all the bad reviews I went to Serramonte which wasn't too great either, I guess it depends on the sales person you talk to because alot of people here said they are pretty good. I went on a test drive and he was actually telling me to stomp on the gas to feel the power and do sudden stops to feel the brakes working and that was the car I was planning to buy too. Can't imagine how many other test drives he took a potential customer letting them drive like that. Never did I say I was going to purchase, only wanted a printed out quote so I can give to my employers so they can authorize the purchase. About to leave the sales person was all "Everyone's waiting late for you! (about the time the dealer closes)". BS, I left and didn't mind the 1 hour drive to Pleasanton Infiniti that gave me close to 600 under invoice on the first call, no hassel.

The Seramonte rep did email me apologizing and also called me about a week later asking me if I was still looking. Told him too bad, already bought it at Pleasanton.

Man.. there definitely is something wrong with Penninsula Infiniti. I shopped around for quite a long time, hitting almost all the bay area dealers. If I bought from a dealership, I'd probably do either Pleasanton or Serramonte. I dealt with Walter at Serramonte and some very straightforward sales women (the retail mgr, and a sales rep - don't remember their names) at Pleasanton. I ended up going with a broker b/c no one had the car I wanted w/o a possible 3 month wait.

And BTW, Frontier Infiniti is owned by the same company... but haven't heard too much about them...

I spoke to their internet manager or what not. I told him I would come in and buy if the price was right. He didn't want to give me a price over the phone and insisted that I came in. I got quotes from other places ( the best I got was $300 over invoice ) and when he called back I told him I bought a car and gave him the price. He told me I paid to much and hung up on me. I laughed about it and went about my day.

If anyone is looking for a new / used Infiniti I think Oakland Infiniti is the best place to buy. They gave me my quote over the phone and when I walked in dropped it down another $300.
