Since bobby is new at this meet thing..I might as well help him out..

Anyways, I'm tryin to find out what would everyone like to do on our next meet...

laguna seca?
a drive?
go kart racing?
thunderhill?

any suggestions would not be turned down..unless its really bad..hehehe

 

I vote for kart racing.

I've been going to gocartracer.com in Burlingame. Awesome facility.

 

It's a good thing Don and I think alike.
I was going to suggest cart racing in Burlingame?
Cart racing and a drive maybe afterwards to Dave and Busters in San Jose?
I was just there recently and they have some very fun racing (video) games and if you guys are up to it, KARAOKE stage...!

Is Saturday ok for everyone or is Sunday better? This will probably be an afternoon event like maybe 1:00pm or so?

I will stop by the kartracing place in Burlingame sometime this week to set up a date and minimum

I like Saturday better. Why not in the morning like the last meet? And yea...i want the sticker....so BAD.

 

If we can get 15-20 people to confirm for either of those dates, I'm sure we can qualify for a group discount for the cart racing...

I go there every Saturday when I'm in town anyway, so I'll signup too. Just don't laugh at my lap times, I weigh 220lbs and barely fit in their XL cart. I also think 15 people on this track will be an overkill unless they combine both of their tracks into supertrack, which only happens on Mondays I think.

P.S. It might be a tad more expensive for those who are not mebers there yet (I think it is $6 more which will get you license card, record in their database and a headsock)

 

how much is it totally? I never been to a gocart racing before. Is it hard?

Driving karts is quite a workout. Mostly becasue you're subjected to 1.5g almost every turn and there's no power steering. My forearms are usually sore the day after.

I think we should go for this:

Grand Prix: $60 (Great for Groups)
Drivers go out for 10 minutes of practice, take a 10 minute break and look at their race results (brag a little), then go back for 5 minutes of qualifying, line up on a grid and race for 15 minutes to cross the finish line first. 50-55 laps.

I personally will be wasted after 55 laps.
