Hello to all, and I'm glad to be here! I've been lurking for a couple weeks, and learning some things. On Oct. 28, I took possession of a Slate Blue 2009 G37x Coupe, and have been loving it since then. I think it was a good find. Carfax says 1 owner, 68k miles, no accidents. Been maintained its' entire life at the same Infiniti Dealership that it was originally purchased from. New tires, battery, oil change, etc less than 1k miles ago. It's got the premium package, and rosewood trim.
Edit: I should preface this as saying this is not my first enthusiast/performance car. I got my license in 1976, and some of the more interesting cars I've owned are:
1971 Plymouth Duster 340/4sp.
1970 Chevelle SS 396/4sp.
1969 MGB 4sp.
1969 Mercedes 250 4sp. - my 1st "sports sedan".
1976 Datsun 280Z 4sp
1988 Mustang GT 5 sp. - 1st new car!
1987 Honda CRX Si 5 sp.
1991 Toyota Supra 5 sp. (See a pattern?)
1987 BMW 533i 5 sp.
2000 Ford SVT Contour 5 sp.
2014 Ford Focus 5 sp. with mods
So why a slushbox this time? For one, I'm getting old, and just had hip replacement surgery this summer on my left (clutching) hip. And at least it has the rev matching manumatic.

You know, that's hard to say. They all had their own charms. From the muscle of the Chevelle and Duster, to the lightweight tossability of the MGB and CRX. But it was probably the '88 Mustang GT, with it being my first new car (the Contour and Focus were bought new as well). There were some more mundane cars in between, too; Honda accords, Ford Grenada, Acura CL, etc.

You had me at "1970 Chevelle SS 396/4sp."
I owned the same car in High School, but with a TH400. Sold it when I went in the military for peanuts. Kick myself.
I have to admit that I wasn't a huge fan of the wood grain kit when I bought my car new, but it's really refreshing to see it over 10 years later in a well maintained interior as it has a timeless/classy look. I love carbon fiber, but feel it's just too much when it spans the entire dash.
I've always loved nice wood in a car. Probably stems from drooling over those British cars of the 60's and 70's in Road & Track.😊 I know what you mean; I bought my Chevelle for $900 in '79. I beat the crap out of it and ran through a few trees, and sold it for $350. Hell, that SS interior would probably be worth $5k today. Those were the days... If I only had a crystal ball!😪
