I recently bought a used 2013 G37 Journey and I can't get the AUX input to work so I can play music through my phone. Mine doesn't have a 3.5mm input, it only has a USB port. When I plug my phone into that the screen says "check connected device" and on my phone it's like it's trying to do a data transfer or something. Is there something I'm missing? Is something not working correctly? Do I need to get an aftermarket add-on to play music? I don't know if it's worth noting, because I don't know how many different variations of this car there was that year, but mine doesn't have Bluetooth or navigation or anything like that. Any help would be appreciated.

 

It only works with certain iPhones or iPods.
