Smile Brand new returnee

I just bought a grey 2013 G37X sedan with the Premium package today.
I refer to myself as a returnee because in January 2006 I got an M37X, which I leased for four years. Around Christmas '09, I picked up a G37 convertible, which is when I joined this group. In 2012, my business closed down and so I had to return the car.

Now I am starting over with a nice looking, practical car that only has 62,000Kms. Only problem I have had so far today is how to play music off my phone? I paired the phone, but don't see how to play music off of it? With the last Infiniti I just kept an ipod in the car. Help?

It is GREAT to be back. The G37 is one sexy looking sedan.

Hi Shane, I think I remember you around here back in the day, welcome back. Can't help with the phone but maybe down the road I can chime in
Congrats on the new G!

Hey Shane,

are you trying to play through Bluetooth or through the usb cable? Both are e going to require you to push the disc/aux button a couple times to get there. Usb should automatically bring it up while Bluetooth you have to wait a little then push the button till it brings you to Bluetooth audio.

The Bluetooth will work for calls, but no music. I thought oh well, no big deal, I'll just have to plug in.

Nope. Just keeps saying to check connection...I don't have Nav so I know that closes some avenues for me too.
Not sure if it's the new LG V30 or the new USB/Type C cable.

So, flash back to my 2009 'vert and I still have my iPod Classic (Actually Apple recently sold me a new one). Works like a charm.

So, phone calls and music are covered. However using Google maps on my phone is going to be a problem (can't hear the phone (nav directions) over the music.

Oh well, first world problems. I wonder if there is a software update...?

PS: That dark grey is so beautiful. I wanted to take it out for a run, but it is raining today and I didn't want to dirty it up. Tomorrow morning will be my best drive to work in a LONG time! :-)

Wow, I just went back and looked at my album from eight years ago! That was a VERY pretty convertible I had. Feels weird. It's Like looking back at vids or pics you had from ten years ago, which I never do. Not much for looking back, normally.

Having said that, I am SO glad to be back here!:-)

Occasionally I have to go into the bluetooth settings on my phone and manually select the car from the list of devices. It says it is connected but does not always connect automatically. I just tap it and it seems fine after that. Seems to happen if I have not listened to Spotify in the last few hours but after that it connects and the steering wheel controls work as expected. Hope that helps!

The Bluetooth hooks up fine, but for some reason, no access to the music.

You need the NAV package to be able to play music over Bluetooth
