When going to class today I smelt some burnt marshmallows and it wasn't as bad but still slightly there when heading home. It kinda seemed like it burnt off but when I got home I found this infront of where I park in the garage..this wasn't here in the garage this morning before I left
..any ideas?
Yea that's fair I was tired and wasn't thinking so here's a close up both sides, been raining and extemely humid so I've never smelled this before but I smell gas now that it's so humid currently as well and no leaks on the bottom but there have been some oil leaks it seems in the past in some places on the engine bay. Piece feels like some sort of foam but definitely some sort of seall that's torn off on the other side yet when I've gone under my car before I've never seen anything like this unless it's where my other cover is
All good, man. I remember those days at uni and fully feel the heat and humidity.
I will admit I have not seen anything like that- at least not under my car.
I wonder if it is possibly a piece of "road debris" that you may have picked up? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Once you have time get under your car and give everything a good once-over.
I will keep looking and perhaps others will chime in with ideas.

Thanks, I am just hoping it was just from humidity if anything because this is the first time I've smelled it I'm realty hoping it's not my heater core..apparently a sweet cabin smell indicates that it has gone bad.
I understand, I had a heater hose connector leak a few months ago and replaced the connector with a metal piece I got at oriley, before that the coolant only increased temperature slightly once and that was it thankfully.
Looks like part of the orange foam rubber from a Fram air filer.
It actually does resemble it when looking up it appears to be like something my car possibly picked up as Bull said. I have a K&N filter however so I suppose that settles that issue at least but right now I'm more concerned about the sweet smell I had when it was so humid yesterday in my car hopefully it's not my heater core and I can just possibly flush my coolant out.

Sweet smell is coolant and most likely is coming from the heater hose joint connector. These weep and fall onto the header. Monitoring of your coolant levels will let you know how bad it is.
You should inspect yours for age and buy one as preventative measure or keep some plier and a deep 14mm socket in the car (socket will fit into the hoses and act as a solid joint) in case it bursts on you it wont leave you stuck.
