09 G37x Slow transmission

I recently bought an 09Gx with 143k on it. My first G. There were some small issues like an exhaust leak and some interior quality issues but the one thing that really jumped out at me was just how slow the 7AT was shifting. I pinned the throttle in 1st and it shifted into 2nd at ~8200+ rpm. It is my understanding that redline is supposed to be 7600 or some such. When rolling and I give it the beans it takes a good while to find it's gear but also when in sport-manual mode and I shift up OR down it takes a good 1.5-2 seconds before shifting. I've read a bit about the ECU and TSBs available for it but I'm not sure that would solve my issue. All the gears seem to be grabbing just fine with no slippage. Should I change the tranny fluid?

Any ideas or suggestions? I have NO history on this car (am 5th owner) as to what precisely was done to it.

Thanks.

Edit: Upon further study it seems that's just how the 7AT is. Ah well. Still very usable.
