Q60/g37 2014
Hey all,
I have a 2014 Infiniti Q60 on the same platform and engine as the G37 of 2013
I'm having an issue with it where the engine will, in 3rd gear, suddenly drop a few hundred RPMs for seemingly no reason, coupling that with a strange burning smell, does this seem like a transmission issue? I would hate to go out and buy a new transmission on a car that has only 75k miles of which I've driven since 65k. Are there any people knowledgeable about this issue? The RPM dropping happens around 3k rpm with a sudden drop down to 2.5k or 2.75k. Also, I've never smelled a burning clutch, however, the burning smell is that of rubber/something sweet, not quite either, and the smell lingers for a while after driving at high RPMs.
