New here with big plans and lots to learn

Hey all. New to modding and cars in general. Don’t know much, only know what I want. How to achieve it is a different story 😅

I got a 2013 G37x sedan and so far it’s got the basics:
- 5% tint rear, back left and right. 20% front left and right windows
- remote starter installed
- black vinyl window trim
- black vinyl spoiler
- black vinyl front grill trim
- plasti rear emblems (gonna white out the front emblem)
- white LED interior numbs all around
- tinted front and rear headlights/taillights, just enough to delete the chrome and red
- Calipers painted red
- plasti dipped rims (Cuz I couldn’t wait for real black rims)
- some random interior footwell RGB strips
- pedal commander throttle control (mistake, I know)
- got 245/50/17 tires on stock rims. wanted smaller walls and wider tires, got the best I could.
And a nice little 3.8” HUD from scosche to constantly remind me of how much I’m speeding 😅😅

I got some interior pieces coming in now, can post pics of them later when installed. Might be a pretty cool update post 🤷‍♂️

- red and carbon steering wheel cover from mewtant
- black diamond with red stitching floor mats
- glossy carbon fibre vinyl wrap for my interior
- LED ‘infiniti’ door sill foot guard
- and the thing I’m most excited for - rgb app controlled interior fibre optic kit from XKGLOW.

all in all, really basic as of yet. But I’m starting to get more in depth and researching what I can really turn this car into. I basically wanna do whatever I can to it to make it stand out more, remain clean, and look aggressive without touching any paint. I have a QAA moonlight white pearlescent stock paint colour that’s virtually impossible to match when you include fade. So new panels/bumpers are out of my wheel house until I can afford to either vinyl wrap it all at once, or get each new piece professionally painted to stock code. So the plan for the upcoming winter is to order and install the following and have it ready by summer for the cruises and shows

- custom headlights with RGB demons, RGB halos, and RGB drl’s with black housing (got a Instagram page willing to do it for 1300 cad)
- BR series coil over kit
- ezsplitter front splitter
- ezsplitter 4” wing side skirt
- muffler delete/res delete
- burnt exhaust tip
- underglow + wheel well lights
- rear diffuser
- rear Bumper back left and back right splitters
- 19” rims
- is a hard wired 3 channel dash, rear, and cabin cam a mod? If so, then that too.
- considering vinyl wrapping the roof and the mirrors, but I’m afraid it’ll begin to look corny and lose it’s clean-ness 😅

Ideally, one day, I’d get a wide body kit, offset and space the wheels, and get a nice new Aftermarket front and rear bumper. throw on a sick vented fender flare panel then get it all painted/wrapped. But for now I’ll settle for splitters and diffusers.

For now, I need advice And suggestions on a few things. I know NOTHING about suspensions, or brands.
- So I was wondering if anyone could suggest any 2013 sedan lowering coil over kits? Looking at a br series one now but I have no idea if that’s good or bad.
- I need to know if anyone knows a good quality underglow app controlled kit, ideally with chasing light features. Diode dynamics and oneuplighting have some not Chinese knock off kits but i can’t seem to find reviews. So whether they are good enough quality to last a week in winter is up in the air.
- diffuser suggestions? Being in Canada makes shipping and duties a absolute nightmare and so expensive... so ideally around 350$ or less. And trying to find sedan body kits just makes it even harder 😅
- 19” Rim suggestions? And width/tire width and size suggestions? Looking like 245/40/19 on 19x8.5 or 9 is the way to go. Gotta be black and clean rims! I’m still trying to learn wheels. Spacers, centric types, centre bore rings, offsets, keeping them flush with the body, widths and if they can clear the wheel well without hitting... it’s a lot 😅
- will a muffler and res (is this called a custom cat-back exhaust?) delete make my vq too loud and obnoxious on long trips and for daily use? It’s my everyday, and I drive... a lot. I also have neighbours! Haha. If anyone’s done this and would like to give feedback, that’d be nice.

Engine mods are in the works, but having lost my main job to covid, it makes them financially out of reach for what they really do. I’m mainly just looking for cosmetics for now. I race from time to time, so tunes and intakes and such will happen, just not yet.

Thanks all! Looking forward to learning and improving my G here

Yes the front drivers side bumper had an accident. Previous owner 🤦‍♂️ Smoothed it out now, but now the paints off cuz I couldn’t match the pearl 😂😂

Welcome, it sounds like you're really into blinging out your G. But as a Z racer, I'd suggest you wait on putting any kind of low priced coilover on your car. Better to get a quality set of dampers (Koni or Bilstein) and pick a set of lowering springs (Swift or Eibach) that allow you to do one alignment once they're installed. Coilovers are fine if you are looking to set your car up for different tracks and conditions, but most people don't realize that the suspension should be reset every time the car is raised or lowered.
